Is this phone worth buying?

My former cellphone, the LG Chocolate Touch, finally quit working. I was beginning to think that it was indesructable! Anyways, I wanted to replace it with the Samsung Fascinate, but it is $99 and also $30 a month. (My dad pays the bill...which means he pays for 7 phones, so I don't want to break him!) But, the phone we actually ordered is the Pantech Crux ( $50 and $10 a month). It only has 3 stars, but the Verizon lady said it was a big seller and a great phone. So, do you think it will be worth the money, or should we have went with something else?
